Water
Damage Beneath Stucco
Cladding
Tiny
hairline cracks that develop in stucco siding (cladding)
materials should be routinely sealed and repaired to prevent
water penetration. Once water gets behind the stucco,
deterioration of the wooden framing and sheathing materials
beneath will often result.
The
photo above shows a wood frame home with stucco cladding
suffering unnecessary water damage (and possible wood
destroying insect damage) that will be costly to repair.
